To be considered for this unique opportunity, CassonX are looking to identify someone at the start of their career (1 – 3 years experience) and would like to be the "future" COO of a fund. Not only will you have superlative education, at least achieving a 2:1 in a mathematics / business / engineering type degree from a top university, but you will be ambitious, hard working, logical, able to communicate at all levels of seniority and numerically talented. You will have gained some experience in Operations, Trade Support/Middle Office, NAV/Valuations, coming from a Prime Broker, Trading Firm or Investment/Asset Manager, but preference will be given to those already working a Hedge Fund and with exposure to Equities in Public and Private Markets.
What CassonX loves is that this is not just an Operations role. It almost feels like a junior COO or business manager role where the successful individual will see so much of how infrastructure works in a boutique fund. This incredibly broad role will see you support things like fund accounting, valuations, trade flow processes, financial reporting, AI and automation, internal IT systems, cybersecurity, compliance requirements and reporting. But the best part is the COO will take you completely under their wing, and give you a long term plan to develop and be the future of their business.
