Procurement Manager
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000
Hours: Monday – Friday
Location: Bedford

We have an exciting opportunity to join our client, a growing and forward-thinking organisation, who are looking for a Procurement Manager to lead and develop their procurement and supply chain function. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key role where you will work closely with internal teams and suppliers to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen overall supplier performance.
As a Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activity, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring all sourcing is compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities for a Procurement Manager:
*Develop and implement procurement strategy aligned with business goals
*Manage supplier relationships, including brokers and direct suppliers
*Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to drive cost savings
*Analyse spend data to identify efficiencies and cost reduction opportunities
*Support estimating and operations teams with accurate pricing
*Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery
*Ensure compliance with internal procedures and ISO standards
*Support supplier compliance within the ISMS framework
*Maintain accurate procurement records and reporting
*Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Essential Skills for a Procurement Manager:
*Proven experience in procurement, supply chain, or commercial roles
*Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
*Experience working with national supplier networks or broker models
*Commercially astute with strong analytical capability
*Experience implementing procurement processes or frameworks
*Good understanding of compliance and supplier assurance
*Proficient in Microsoft 365 tools
