Are you a highly organised, proactive, and adaptable professional who enjoys being at the heart of a busy and growing business? Our client is looking for a Business Support & Operations Assistant to join their expanding team in their stunning new Finsbury Circus, Central London office. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a successful engineering consultancy and play a key role in supporting multiple areas of the business.
Our client is a multidisciplinary practice of Consulting Engineers, delivering Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health design services across a range of sectors, including Mission Critical Data Centres across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East.
Contract & Hours
* Role Type: Temp, Full-Time
* Location: Finsbury Circus, London
* Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days in office (Mon/Tues/Weds), 2 days from home (Thurs/Fri)
* Start Date: ASAP
About the Role:
Reporting to the Head of Poeple, you’ll provide essential support across business operations, people administration, recruitment, executive coordination, marketing, and bid/proposal management. This is a varied and fast-paced role, ideal for someone who enjoys being involved across many parts of a growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
HR & People Administration
*Maintain employee records and HR documentation
* Support performance review processes
* Coordinate training bookings and records
* Assist with wellbeing initiatives and internal communications
* Support HR reporting and people data management
Recruitment & Onboarding
*Post job adverts and manage applications
* Coordinate interviews and candidate communications
* Liaise with recruitment agencies when required
* Prepare offer letters and onboarding documents
* Manage new starter setups and onboarding checklists
Office & Operations Support
*Manage office supplies, facilities, and supplier relationships
* Coordinate IT equipment requests and starter/leaver processes
* Maintain health & safety and compliance records
* Organise office events and internal meetings
* Handle day-to-day staff administrative queries
Executive & Board Support
*Coordinate diaries and senior leadership meetings
* Prepare agendas, meeting packs, and minutes
* Track actions and follow-ups
* Assist with board pack collation and formatting
Marketing Administration
*Support campaigns, awards, and events logistics
* Maintain marketing collateral, files, and case studies
* Assist with website updates and supplier coordination
* Support social media scheduling and newsletters
Bid / Proposal Support
*Coordinate bid deadlines and document management
* Prepare go/no-go packs
* Gather CVs, credentials, and case studies
* Format proposals and ensure submission compliance
* Record feedback and lessons learned
What We’re Looking For:
*3 years’ experience in a busy office environment in a similar role is preferred
* Experience in a document-heavy environment such as legal, contracts, or professional services
* Strong communication skills with confidence engaging at all levels
* Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
* Self-motivated, hands-on, and able to work under pressure
* A collaborative team player with a positive attitude
