ASD Teacher - Northampton (Primary School)
Location: Northampton

A supportive and inclusive primary school in Northampton is seeking a committed ASD Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a specialist provision or nurture setting, supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities*Plan and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of pupils with ASD
*Create a structured, predictable, and supportive classroom environment
*Use a range of strategies to support communication, behaviour, and engagement
*Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to deliver high-quality provision
*Monitor and assess pupil progress, adapting teaching approaches where needed
*Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents/carers
*Support pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development
Ideal Candidate*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Experience working with children with ASD, ideally within a primary setting
*Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive teaching practices
*Calm, patient, and nurturing approach to behaviour management
*Ability to adapt teaching to meet a range of complex needs
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Passion for supporting children with additional needs to reach their full potential
