Job Description:
Job Title: Anti-Social Behaviour Officer
Type: Full-time, Permanent
Location: Bristol (1-2 days in the office)
Salary: £36,954 per annum
Hours: 37 hours a week
BRC are working closely with a housing association to recruit an Anti-Social Behaviour Officer to join their Customer Directorate within the Housing department.
This role involves managing and resolving cases of anti-social behaviour, hate crime, and domestic violence. You will investigate concerns, work closely with customers and external agencies, and implement strategies to reduce and prevent future ASB. This is a customer-focused role aimed at improving residents’ quality of life and feelings of safety within their communities.
Duties:
*Manage and investigate all Anti-Social Behaviour, Hate Crime, and Domestic Violence cases.
*Gather evidence, interview relevant parties, and take appropriate action in line with policies and legislation.
*Work collaboratively with colleagues, customers, legal advisors, neighbourhood police, and local authorities.
*Attend multi-agency meetings and case conferences as required.
*Build and maintain strong working relationships with community partners and service providers.
*Ensure residents and complainants are kept informed and supported throughout case progression.
*Deliver educational workshops and awareness campaigns to promote positive behaviour and community cohesion.
*Keep accurate records and ensure compliance with GDPR and data protection regulations.
*Support preparation of reports on service outcomes and team performance.
*Identify service improvements and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
*Support resident involvement and community engagement events and consultations.
*Keep up to date with housing legislation and best practice.
Requirements:
*Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent.
*Experience of managing anti-social behaviour cases.
*Experience working in social housing or a similar environment.
*Good knowledge of relevant anti-social behaviour and housing legislation.
*Understanding of tenancy enforcement.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
*Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Ability to remain calm and resolve conflict effectively.
*Experience working with external agencies and stakeholders.
*Proactive, empathetic, and resilient approach.
*Full UK Driving Licence.
*Clear DBS check.
*Ability to travel independently to visit customers and properties.
