Job Description:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently supporting a leading client to find a motivated Audit Senior to join their dynamic and expanding team in Lancaster. This exciting opportunity offers the chance to take on increasing responsibility in delivering high-quality audits, supporting the development of junior team members, and working closely with clients. The role provides a clear progression path towards an Audit Manager position, with ample support and development opportunities to help you grow your career.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
*Audit Planning & Execution: Support the planning, execution, and completion of audit assignments in line with UK auditing standards
*Fieldwork Involvement: Be actively involved in audit fieldwork, including substantive and analytical procedures, often on-site at client premises
*Audit Ownership: Take responsibility for specific sections of the audit file, ensuring work is accurate, complete, and well-documented
*Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and identify key risks or matters for Manager or Partner review
*Team Supervision: Review work completed by junior team members and provide clear, constructive feedback to support their development
*Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients as part of the wider audit team, ensuring any risks are escalated as appropriate
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
*Qualification: ACA / ACCA qualified, or within 12 months of qualification
*Experience: Proven experience delivering audit assignments within a UK practice environment
*Audit Expertise: Comfortable owning audit sections from planning through to completion.
*Team Leadership: Experience reviewing junior team members’ work and supporting their development
*Client Communication: Confident communicating directly with clients and escalating risks appropriately
*Career Progression: Looking to progress your career towards an Audit Manager role within a structured development framework
