Job Description:
Are you an experienced Audit Senior looking to take the next step in your career?
We are currently working with a leading accountancy firm based in Preston, who are seeking a highly motivated individual to join their growing team.
This role offers the opportunity to lead audit engagements, supervise junior staff, and gain exposure to a broad range of clients while ensuring compliance with UK accounting and auditing standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
*Audit Planning & Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and completion of audits, ensuring compliance with UK auditing standards
*Fieldwork Involvement: Participate in audit fieldwork, including substantive and analytical procedures, often on-site with clients
*Team Supervision: Take ownership of sections of audits, reviewing junior team members work and providing constructive feedback
*Client Communication: Develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring efficient delivery of audit work and managing any issues or risks as they arise
*Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare statutory financial statements from client data and support the Manager/Partner with any complex queries
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
*Qualification: ACA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualified, or working towards completion
*Experience: Strong experience in audit, ideally within a UK practice environment
*Audit Expertise: Ability to lead audits from planning through to completion, with knowledge of complex areas like acquisitions, long-term contract accounting, and group audits
*Leadership Skills: Experience mentoring junior staff and managing client relationships
*Career Progression: This is an ideal role for someone looking to progress towards Audit Manager level within a supportive and structured framework
