Job Description:
A growing professional services business based in Halifax is looking to recruit a Transactional Finance Supervisor to join its finance team. Reporting to a qualified Finance Manager, this role offers a great opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to step into a supervisory position and develop their career.
The Role
You will take ownership of the day-to-day transactional finance function, overseeing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. This is a hands-on role where you will ensure processes run smoothly, support the wider finance team, and drive improvements in efficiency and controls. The role is open to a career move from practice or industry.
Key Responsibilities
*Supervise the AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
*Oversee invoicing, collections, supplier payments, and reconciliations
*Support month-end processes related to transactional finance
*Review work completed by junior team members
*Identify and implement process improvements
*Assist with queries from internal stakeholders and external clients
*Ensure strong financial controls and adherence to procedures
About You
*AAT qualified (or close to completion)
*Experience within practice or industry
*Looking to take a first step into a supervisory position
*Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
*Confident communicator with a proactive approach
*Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
