Quality Control Inspector – Skelmersdale
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Inspector to join our well-established client based in Skelmersdale on a full-time, permanent basis.

This role would suit applicants who have worked in a previous role as a Quality Technician, Incoming Goods Inspector or Quality Assurance Operative.
Hours of Work:
*Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 4.30pm
*Friday: 8.00am – 3.30pm
Salary:
*£12.71 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
As a Quality Control Inspector, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
*Inspecting manufactured products at all stages of manufacture, including work at suppliers
*Ensuring the status and control of non-conforming products is in accordance with relevant procedures
*Maintaining clear and accurate inspection records and reporting all deviations to the QC Supervisor
*Working with customer on-site inspectors to complete witness/hold points as defined in the Inspection and Test Plan
*Ensuring strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures relating to Health, Safety and Quality
*Delivering inspection activities in line with production schedules, with a focus on quality and on-time delivery
*Maintaining the highest housekeeping standards within QC areas
*Ensuring all measuring equipment is calibrated before use
*Supporting continuous improvement and integrating best practice
*Completing cross-functional training in other QC areas to provide departmental flexibility and annual leave cover
*Operating handling equipment such as forklift trucks and overhead cranes where required
*Carrying out any other reasonable duties as requested
Essential Skills
To be successful in this role, you will be able to:
*Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats
*Deliver excellent customer satisfaction by consistently meeting or exceeding expectations
*Understand customer requirements and implement appropriate quality interventions
*Ensure excellent service delivery through operational excellence
Desirable Skills:
*Health & Safety qualification (or equivalent) within a manufacturing, engineering or science discipline
*Proven experience working within a Quality Control environment
*Experience in a fast-paced, demanding manufacturing setting
*Involvement in continuous improvement initiatives and change projects
*Ability to build strong working relationships and operate effectively as part of a team
Working Environment:
*Factory-based environment
*Regular use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, ear protection and steel toe footwear
*Frequent travel to local sites, with potential for global travel
*Occasional out-of-hours working, as some facilities operate 24
Training:
*Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
