Job Description:
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to lead audit engagements, manage client relationships, and support the continued growth of our Stevenage office. This role offers the opportunity to work with a varied portfolio across multiple sectors while mentoring and developing junior team members.
Key Responsibilities*Manage a portfolio of audit clients, ensuring delivery to deadlines and budget
*Lead and plan audit assignments from initial planning through to completion
*Review audit files, financial statements, and supporting documentation
*Ensure compliance with UK auditing standards and regulatory requirements
*Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
*Identify opportunities for added-value services and cross-selling
*Supervise, mentor, and develop audit seniors and trainees
*Liaise with partners on engagement progress, risks, and technical matters
*Support business development activities and proposals
Requirements*ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
*Significant audit experience within a UK practice environment
*Proven experience managing audit assignments and teams
*Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and auditing standards
*Excellent communication and client management skills
*Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
*Experience with owner-managed businesses and SMEs (desirable)
