About the RoleProspero Teaching is pleased to be working with a welcoming secondary school in Rotherham to recruit a creative and enthusiastic Teacher of Drama. This is a part-time opportunity, working Wednesdays and Thursdays until the end of the academic year.
The role offers a varied timetable, with a particular focus on delivering engaging Drama lessons while also supporting the wider school through general cover where required.
Key Responsibilities*Deliver high-quality Drama lessons that inspire and engage students
*Teach across Key Stages (primarily KS3/KS4 depending on timetable)
*Provide general classroom cover on Wednesdays, alongside two scheduled Drama lessons
*Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
*Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
*Mark and assess work where required
The Ideal Candidate*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
*Has experience teaching Drama at secondary level
*Is confident delivering both specialist Drama lessons and general cover lessons
*Demonstrates strong classroom management and adaptability
*Has a passion for the performing arts and student development
*Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service (or is willing to obtain one)
