Art / Design & Technology Technician (Full-Time, 5 Days per Week)

Are you a skilled and motivated Art / Design & Technology Technician looking to make a meaningful impact in a vibrant secondary school environment? We are seeking a dedicated professional to support dynamic teaching and learning across Art and DT departments in schools across Lewisham.

The Role
As an Art / DT Technician, you will play a key role in supporting both staff and students, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of practical lessons. You will be responsible for preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and creating a safe, organised, and inspiring learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare, set up, and clear away materials and equipment for Art and DT lessons
*Maintain tools, machinery, and workshop spaces to a high standard
*Support teachers and students during practical sessions where required
*Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
*Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed
*Assist in the development of displays and exhibitions of student work
Requirements
*Previous experience working as an Art and/or DT Technician in a secondary school setting
*Strong subject knowledge across Art, Design Technology, or related disciplines
*A relevant degree is preferred
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
*A proactive and flexible approach to work
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
