Healthcare Assistant (HCA) – Fully Remote
Temporary, Ongoing Assignment | upto 40 Hours per Week
We are recruiting Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) for a fully remote role supporting an innovative Hospital-at-Home service. This service enables patients to be safely monitored in their own homes using digital technology, helping to reduce hospital admissions while maintaining high standards of care.
About the Role
As a Remote HCA, you will carry out discovery and check-in calls with patients who are being monitored at home. Your focus will be on ensuring patient wellbeing, identifying any concerns early, and escalating clinical issues appropriately.
This is a temporary, ongoing position with full-time hours available
Key Responsibilities
*Conducting scheduled discovery and wellbeing calls with patients
*Checking patients are feeling well and taking medications as prescribed
*Clearing and managing green alerts in line with protocols
*Identifying changes in patient condition and escalating concerns
*Submitting requests and updates to Nurses and the wider clinical team
*Providing reassurance, clear communication, and patient education
*Accurately recording patient interactions and observations on systems
*Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection standards
What We’re Looking For
*Previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant within the NHS ideally
*Confident telephone manner and strong communication skills
*Good understanding of patient care, medication awareness, and escalation pathways
*Ability to work independently and manage your workload remotely
*Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation skills
*Comfortable using digital systems after training
