As we continue to grow, we are looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to spearhead our expansion and play a key role in shaping the future of our sales function.
Sales Manager / Business Development Director role:
This is a pivotal, hands-on role where you will take full ownership of new business generation. As the first dedicated sales hire, you will be responsible for developing and executing the entire sales strategy, managing the full sales cycle from prospecting through to closing, and laying the foundation for a scalable sales function.
Over time, this role is expected to evolve into a leadership position, where you will build and manage a high-performing sales team to significantly expand our presence in the marketing sector.
You will work closely with our Digital Account Management team to ensure seamless onboarding and long-term client success, helping to build strong, lasting relationships.
Key Responsibilities for Sales Manager / Business Development Director
*Develop and execute a clear, effective new business strategy aligned with company growth objectives
*Identify, target, and win new clients across SME markets and multiple industry sectors
*Manage the full sales cycle: prospecting, outreach, pitching, negotiation, and closing
*Build a robust and sustainable sales pipeline
*Collaborate closely with Digital Account Management to ensure excellent client experience and retention
*Create tailored digital marketing solutions that meet client needs and deliver measurable value
*Report directly to the Board of Directors on performance, pipeline, and strategy
*Continuously refine sales processes, messaging, and go-to-market approach
*Over time, recruit, train, and lead a sales team to scale business development efforts
About You
*Proven track record in business development or sales within a service-led industry
*A hunter mind-set, with outstanding relationship building skills
*Strong strategic thinker with the ability to build and execute a sales plan from scratch
*Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
*Highly self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
*Experience selling into SMEs across varied sectors is highly desirable
*Strong relationship-building skills with a focus on long-term client value
*Ambition to grow into a leadership role and build a team
