We’re working with a well-established organisation who are looking to recruit a Payroll Assistant to join their growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone with payroll experience who enjoys a fast-paced, client-focused environment and wants to develop their knowledge within a busy, market leading employer.
The role
You’ll support the end-to-end processing of multiple payrolls for a varied client base, ensuring accuracy, compliance and excellent service at all times.
Key responsibilities
*Assisting with the processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for multiple clients
*Accurately inputting starters, leavers and payroll changes
*Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and holiday pay
*Dealing with payroll queries from clients in a timely and professional manner
*Supporting payroll submissions, RTI filings and year-end processes
*Ensuring payroll is processed in line with current HMRC legislation
*Maintaining accurate payroll records and client data
What we’re looking for
*Previous payroll experience, ideally within a bureau or accountancy practice
*Good working knowledge of payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
*Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines
*Confident communicator with a good client-service mindset
*Experience using Sage payroll software
