Job Description:
HVAC Engineer FGASLocation: Near Brackley
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £44,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
The OpportunityHays is working with a well-established facilities management provider to recruit an experienced HVAC Engineer for a site-based role maintaining a large commercial estate.Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will join a small, professional HVAC team. While support is available, the role will largely involve lone working, so confidence, independence and strong technical capability are essential.
Key Responsibilities
*Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on HVAC systems
*Respond to reactive maintenance and breakdowns
*Fault-find, diagnose and repair HVAC plant and equipment
*Complete minor installation, refurbishment and upgrade works
*Ensure all work is completed within agreed timescales and KPIs
*Accurately complete all job documentation via PDA or paper job sheets
*Maintain strict Health & Safety standards, ensuring RAMS are in place
Essential Requirements
*City & Guilds qualification in Air Conditioning (or equivalent)
*F-Gas Category 1 qualification - MUST have
*Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair
*Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations
*Full UK driving licence
*Reliable, punctual and self-motivated approach
*Good communication skills and a professional manner
Desirable (but not essential)
*Experience working within commercial facilities management
*Hydrocarbon refrigerant qualification
*Additional First Aid or Health & Safety certifications
