Business Development Manager - Freight Forwarding
Location: Aberdeen
Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car Allowance + Commission + Benefits
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a well-established, global logistics and freight forwarding organisation based in Aberdeen.
This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially driven individual to play a key role in expanding business across the air and ocean freight / supply chain sector, with a strong focus on new business development.
The Role*Drive new business growth (circa 90% new business focus)
*Develop and manage a strong sales pipeline
*Build and maintain relationships with clients across energy, engineering and industrial sectors
*Lead the full sales cycle from initial engagement through to contract negotiation and close
*Identify and convert opportunities into measurable revenue growth
*Work closely with internal teams to deliver tailored logistics solutions
Key Requirements*Proven experience in a Business Development / Sales role within freight forwarding
*Strong understanding of logistics, supply chain, and project cargo
*Experience working with clients in energy, engineering, or industrial sectors
*Demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets
*Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
*Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously
Package*Basic salary up to £75,000
*£4,200 car allowance
*Commission scheme (circa 5% of GP, subject to scheme)
*25 days annual leave + bank holidays
