Are you an analytically-minded investment professional looking to elevate your career within a prestigious specialist insurer?
We are seeking a proactive Investment Analyst to support the Head of Investments in managing and optimizing a diverse investment portfolio. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with a passion for asset management and research to take ownership of portfolio monitoring, manager due diligence, and strategic reporting within a sophisticated, high-governance environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Portfolio Monitoring & Analysis: Track performance, risk metrics, and exposures across the company’s portfolio. You will prepare high-level dashboards and commentary to keep senior leadership informed on positioning relative to risk constraints.

* Manager & Asset Research: Assist in the due diligence and ongoing oversight of external investment managers. This includes researching new asset classes, reviewing ESG disclosures, and preparing materials for manager review meetings.

* Strategic Decision Support: Produce investment proposals, briefing notes, and scenario analyses to guide the Investment Committee and CFIO. You will play a vital role in data gathering and modeling for strategic asset allocation reviews.

* Reporting & Communication: Craft clear, concise investment reports for the Board and Investment Committee. You will act as a bridge between the Investment function and the Actuarial, Finance, and Risk teams to ensure cohesive business planning.

* Governance & Compliance: Maintain meticulous documentation of research and investment decisions, ensuring the function remains responsive to market and regulatory developments.

* Technical Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. Familiarity with industry tools such as Clearwater, Bloomberg, or similar analytical platforms is highly advantageous.

* Communication & Drive: Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently in a small team. You should be adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting tight deadlines.

* Qualifications: You should be making active progress toward (or have completed) a professional qualification such as the CFA, IMC, or a similar financial designation.
