We are working with a specialist property finance company based in North London, focused on delivering bespoke funding solutions across a varied property portfolio. As a result of continued expansion, they are now seeking an experienced and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their growing team.
As an Accounts Assistant you will play a key role in supporting the finance function and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
*Bank reconciliations across multiple accounts
*Bookkeeping and posting journal entries using double-entry bookkeeping principles
*Managing daily payment runs and processing payments
*Monitoring and allocating receivables
*Supporting credit control activities and reporting
*Preparing portfolio statements for funders
*Drafting mortgage and repayment statements for borrowers
*Managing the accounts inbox and resolving queries
*Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Key Requirements:
*3 years+ experience in an accounts or finance role, within property finance (bridging, buy-to-let, residential, or commercial lending)
*Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping
*Experience with accounts payable and receivable
*Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks
*Strong numerical and analytical skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office
*Recognised accounting or bookkeeping qualification (e.g. AAT) is essential.
