We are seeking an experienced Banksman / Traffic Marshal to support contractors for a public sector organisation.
This role involves managing vehicle movements and contractor coordination within a public realm environment, making it a varied and sometimes complex position that requires strong communication and safety awareness.
Your new role
*Acting as an effective liaison between contractors and the day-to-day operation
*Managing the safe movement of vehicles through the public realm into the contractor site compound
*Escorting large vehicles and overseeing deliveries
*Maintaining clear communication between all contractors and staff
*Attending weekly operational meetings
*Collating weekly look-ahead schedules for vehicle movements and deliveries
*Implementing and maintaining a safe system of transport across the public realm for all vehicles
What you’ll need to succeed
*CPCS Card (Blue preferred)
*Demonstrable awareness of HSE regulations
*Knowledge of standard construction hand signals and procedures
*Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
*Physically fit and highly alert to potential risks
*Experience working within public-facing / public realm environments desirable
