Agilis Search are proud to be supporting a reputable local employer with the recruitment of a part or full time Accounts Assistant. Reporting to the Group Financial Accounts Manager, this role involves the meticulous analysis of sales data to prepare customer rebate payment requests and address any related queries. Additionally, it encompasses the accurate processing of a high volume of supplier invoices, requiring effective communication with both suppliers and internal teams to resolve any issues that arise.
Key responsibilities include preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual customer rebates, auditing claims, and resolving discrepancies. The role also involves processing supplier invoices for multiple locations, both in the UK and internationally, and preparing supplier statement reconciliations. You’ll be tasked with resolving problem invoices, managing supplier queries, and verifying supplier bank account changes to ensure compliance with internal policies. Supporting the credit control team by raising customer credit notes and managing various administrative tasks will also be part of your daily routine.
Candidates should have experience in an accounts role, particularly in processing high volumes of invoices. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential, as is the ability to handle large data sets. While previous experience with sales rebates is advantageous, it is not a prerequisite.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who can also work independently, with strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills. Organisational prowess and the ability to meet strict deadlines are crucial, as is a keen eye for detail.
This is offered on a part or full time basis, with a minimum of 30 hours. It is based in our clients modern offices on the outskirts of Ipswich.
