Purchase Ledger Clerk – Distribution Business
Location: Winsford
Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday)
Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
Pay: Up to £30,000 dependant on experience
Overview:
Rotheram Carrington Financial Recruitment, are delighted to be supporting a well-established distribution business in Winsford in their search for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join the team on a full-time, temporary basis. This role has the potential to develop into a permanent position, offering a great opportunity for someone looking to build longer-term stability within a supportive finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
*Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently
*Performing 3-way matching (purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices)
*Resolving invoice queries with suppliers and internal departments
*Reconciling supplier statements and investigating discrepancies
*Preparing and processing payment runs
*Maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier records
*Bank reconciliations
*Assisting with month-end processes as required
*Supporting the wider finance team with ad hoc duties
Key Requirements:
*Previous experience within a purchase ledger / accounts payable role
*Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
*Experience working in a fast-paced or high-volume environment
*Confident communicator, able to liaise effectively with suppliers and colleagues
*Good working knowledge of finance systems and Excel
*Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks effectively
