I am working with a welcoming primary school in Harrow seeking to appoint a Year 6 Teacher from September 2026.
Responsibilities of this Year 6 Teacher role:*Stay up to date with educational research and policy developments through training, workshops, and professional reading, while actively implementing school and local authority initiatives.
*Promote a positive and inclusive school culture by modelling excellent teaching practice, supporting colleagues, and contributing to wider school life and external partnerships.
*Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum across the primary phase, ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported to achieve strong progress across core and foundation subjects.
*Monitor pupil progress effectively, using assessment data to identify needs, implement targeted interventions, and close learning gaps to raise attainment.
*Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to meet individual pupil needs and ensure consistent communication around learning and development.
The Ideal Candidate for this Year 6 Teacher role will:*Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*Have experience teaching KS2
*Be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons
*Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
*Be a reflective, proactive team player with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement
