Job Description:
Cover Supervisor – Bring Your Energy Into the Classroom
Waltham Forest
Full-time | Immediate
Secondary School
Are you someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working with young people, and isn’t afraid to think on your feet?
We’re working with a vibrant secondary school in Waltham Forest looking for a confident, creative Cover Supervisor to step into the classroom and keep learning moving when teachers are away.
This isn’t your typical desk job. One minute you could be supporting a Year 7 English class, the next guiding a lively KS4 group through set work. If you’re adaptable, engaging, and bring a positive presence, you’ll fit right in.
What you’ll be doing:*Supervising classes across KS3–KS4, ensuring students stay on task with pre-set work
*Managing classroom behaviour using a calm, confident, and consistent approach
*Creating a positive, engaging environment where students feel supported
*Thinking creatively to keep students motivated and focused
*Building strong relationships with staff and pupils alike
What we’re looking for:*A naturally creative and proactive personality
*Strong behaviour management or confidence leading groups
*Excellent communication skills and classroom presence
*Experience working with young people, education experience is a bonus
*Someone who’s adaptable, resilient, and enjoys a fast-paced environment
Why this role works:*Perfect for aspiring teachers, creatives, or graduates exploring education
*A great way to build classroom experience in a supportive school
*Every day is different, no two lessons are the same
*Opportunity to make a genuine impact on students’ learning and confidence
If you’re ready to bring your personality into the classroom and make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
