Assistant Management Accountant
Salary: £30,000 to £40,000 with study support
Location: Southwest, London (Office Based)
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Working hours: 9am to 5pm

This is an exciting opportunity to start immediate (however they can accommodate a month’s notice period). The interview process is a two-stage process, both face-to-face interviews in the office. This role includes study support, and the CFO actively promotes career growth, professional development, and progression within a supportive and nurturing workplace.
Based in modern offices in Southwest London, you’ll be part of a fast-paced and supportive team, with exposure to senior stakeholders and real opportunities for progression as the business continues to grow through acquisitions.

This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant or someone looking to begin their professional studies (ACCA/CIMA/ACA), who enjoys working in a busy environment and wants to develop within a commercial finance role.
Key Responsibilities:
*Preparation of weekly trading reports for Board-level review, including financial data and commentary
*Liaising with sales teams to ensure accuracy and completeness of reporting data
*Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts for multiple entities
*Posting journals including accruals and prepayments
*Completing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
*Producing variance analysis with clear explanations against budget and forecast
*Supporting cost control processes and reporting for budget holders
*Building strong relationships across departments to support collaboration
*Assisting with ad hoc finance tasks, particularly during acquisitions and integrations
*Supporting the annual audit process
Skills & Experience Required:
*Part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or keen to begin studies
*Previous experience in a finance role (Assistant Accountant, Accounts Assistant, or strong AP/AR background)
*Experience working in a fast-paced environment
*Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*Proactive, organised and adaptable approach
*Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs and Formulas)
*Experience with systems such as Sage, Planful or Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)
*Power BI or Power Query experience (advantageous but not essential)
