Job Description:
EYFS Teacher, SEN unit
Northampton Full time
We are working with a lovely local primary school who are looking for an experienced SEN teacher to work in their small SEN unit.
The role is a very rewarding position and the school are very supportive.
The unit has approximately 10 students with a variety of additional needs so someone with experience would suit this position. The children are mainly in KS1 and have a range of additional needs and you will have a number of other adults to support within the setting.
The role is for the summer term and is full time. We would like someone who is able to start asap.
In this role, you will:
*Create and deliver engaging lessons to meet the needs of the pupils individual needs
*Have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
*Create a safe and inclusive learning environment
*Develop relationships with students, staff and parents to best support the students
*Monitor progress and milestones
*Build strong foundations in early literacy, numeracy and communication
What We’re Looking For
*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
*A genuine passion for education
*Strong knowledge of the National curriculum (mainly KS1)
*Experience working with SEN pupils with varying needs
*A collaborative approach and willingness to share ideas
*Working alongside other educators to provide engaging sessions and a safe and inclusive learning environment
*DBS on the update service / willingness to apply for one
