Job Description:
Project Manager - Safety Compliance Improvement
Contract: 12 months
Location: Edinburgh (hybrid working)
Harvey Nash’s public sector client is seeking an experienced Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead end-to-end delivery, from procurement through implementation, go-live and handover.
*Manage public sector procurement activities, including business case development, tendering, evaluation and contract award.
*Develop and maintain robust project plans aligned to PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methodologies.
*Manage suppliers, contracts, budgets, risks, dependencies and programme reporting.
*Work closely with digital architecture, business and technical teams to ensure effective system integration.
*Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across business, digital, procurement and external suppliers.
*Lead and motivate the project team, ensuring clear ownership, planning and delivery.
Essential Experience
*Proven delivery of complex IT projects using Waterfall and/or Agile approaches.
*Strong public sector procurement experience, including compliance with statutory procurement regulations.
*Solid grounding in PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid project management methodologies.
*Experience managing third-party suppliers and delivering projects to time, cost and quality.
*Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
*Ability to work autonomously in a resource-constrained, programme-led environment.
Desirable
*Experience delivering compliance, safety, asset management or IMS solutions.
*Experience of change, training or communications within transformation programmes.
*Relevant project or programme management qualifications.
