Job Description:
Robert Half Finance and Accounting are currently looking to recruit a Senior Credit Controller to join an exciting Professional Services company experiencing huge growth based in Bristol. For the right person the client is offering a very competitive:
£35,000 - £40,000 plus bonus, hybrid working and wider benefits package
Role responsibilities will include but not limited to:
*Take ownership of assigned ledgers, managing collections, query resolution, credit limits and escalations, while proactively engaging stakeholders to ensure timely payment and resolution of disputes in line with KPIs
*Act as a senior resource within the team, providing guidance and escalation support, and proactively identifying and addressing gaps in workload or capability to ensure continuity of collections activity and task completion across all ledgers
*Deputise for the Credit Control Manager as required, providing support and cover to ensure the smooth running of activities
*Effectively manage stakeholder relationships at all levels, both internally and externally, ensuring clear proactive communication and resolution of issues
*Lead weekly credit control meetings for assigned offices, providing updates on account status and agreeing follow-up actions
*Perform regular credit checks on new and existing customers, ensuring management approved limits are appropriately applied and promptly highlighting risks and problems
*Maintain accurate ledger integrity through cash posting, reconciliations, month-end statement production, and maintenance of auditable customer records and documentation
*Issue final demands and agree and carry out subsequent escalation actions with company management, supporting the wider team in managing escalated accounts where required
*Produce and issue regular reports on accounts, bad debts and insurance claims as required by company management
Person specification:
*5+ years working within credit control on a sizeable ledger
*Calm, assertive and collaborative individual with excellent communication skills
*A methodical approach, strong attention to detail, and high level of organisation
*Good understanding of IT systems with intermediate level Excel
