Description
*Process supplier invoices and ensure accurate coding to the appropriate cost centres.
*Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
*Prepare payment runs and ensure adherence to organisational policies.
*Maintain up-to-date and accurate accounts payable records.
*Assist with month-end closing activities and reporting.
*Respond to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.
*Collaborate with other teams within the accounting and finance department to streamline processes.
*Support ad-hoc administrative tasks as required by the team.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Clerk should have:
*Previous experience in accounts payable or a related accounting role.
*A strong understanding of financial systems and processes.
*Proficiency in using accounting software SAGE 50 or NetSuite and Microsoft Excel.
*Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
*The ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
