Job Description:
About the OpportunityOur client, a reputable and patient-focused dental practice, is looking to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Nurse to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and ensuring a first-class patient experience.
Working closely with clinicians and the wider practice team, you will play a key role in supporting clinical procedures and maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Support*Prepare and maintain clinical areas in accordance with infection control, health & safety policies, and manufacturer guidelines
*Ensure all instruments and equipment are clean, sterilised, and in safe working condition
*Provide efficient chairside assistance, ensuring clinicians have the correct tools and materials
*Deliver a high standard of patient care, prioritising comfort and safety at all times
*Accurately maintain patient clinical records as required
Compliance & Safety*Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations, including PPE, COSHH, infection control, and waste disposal
*Safely handle all materials and substances used within the practice
*Support radiography procedures, including developing and filing radiographs
*Complete laboratory request forms and maintain accurate tracking records
Stock & Administration*Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels within the surgery
*Coordinate with the Practice Manager to order supplies when required
*Ensure all patient and practice records are accurate, up to date, and securely stored
*Liaise effectively with reception to support smooth patient communication and record management
Team & Practice Support*Attend and actively participate in team meetings
*Provide support across the practice, including assisting with reception duties when needed
Professional Development*Engage in ongoing training to maintain and enhance clinical and administrative skills
*Attend mandatory training sessions, including medical emergencies and CPR
*Comply with practice policies and professional standards at all times
*Maintain GDC registration, ensuring CPD requirements and annual renewals are up to date
About You*Qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse
