We are delighted to be partnering with a leading Insurance business to recruit an experienced Financial Accountant for a key hire within their Finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant with insurance sector experience to join a highly respected organisation operating across multiple international entities and branches. The successful candidate will gain broad exposure across financial reporting, reinsurance, taxation, reconciliations and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities
*Ownership of monthend accounting entries relating to inbound underwriting transactions, covering areas such as earned premium recognition, claims movements and fronting activity.
*Analyse monthly financial results for several entities, reviewing both individual company performance and consolidated group reporting and prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
*Contribute to the year-end reporting cycle through the production of statutory accounts and supporting schedules.
*Prepare indirect and direct tax returns, including corporate tax and insurance premium tax, across multiple jurisdictions.
*Support year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors where required.
*Manage outward reinsurance administration
*Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise and digitise finance processes.
*Build strong relationships with underwriting, claims, actuarial, tax and wider business functions.

You must be;
*ACA / ACCA qualified, or equivalent with 5+ years’ relevant experience.
*Experience in an accounting role within insurance
*Reinsurance Accounting experience would be highly desirable
*Strong Excel experience and an eye for digital automation
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
*Fantastic communication skills both written and verbal

Salary on offer is up to £85k + comprehensive bonus and hybrid working.
