Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to work in a mainstream secondary school in Daventry, starting as soon as possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine interest in student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral care.
The Role:As a Pastoral Support Officer, you will play a key role in supporting students both academically and emotionally, helping to create a positive and structured learning environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
*Supporting students with behaviour and attendance across the school
*Working closely with pupils to promote positive choices and engagement
*Liaising with parents/carers, teachers, and senior leadership team (SLT)
*Monitoring attendance and following up on absences
*Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support
*Assisting with behaviour interventions and reintegration strategies
*Contributing to a safe and supportive school environment
The Ideal Candidate:*Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
*Strong behaviour management and communication skills
*Confident liaising with parents and external stakeholders
*Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
*A genuine passion for supporting student wellbeing and development
