We are currently recruiting English Lecturers and Teachers across South Yorkshire to deliver A Level, GCSE, and Functional Skills English within schools and FE colleges. Whether you specialise in academic pathways or resit provision, we have opportunities to suit your experience.
The RoleYou will deliver high-quality English teaching across A Level, GCSE, and/or Functional Skills, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress into further education, apprenticeships, or employment.
Key responsibilities include:
*Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across your specialism
*Teach A Level, GCSE and/or Functional Skills English
*Differentiate lessons to support mixed-ability and resit learners
*Assess progress and provide clear, constructive feedback
*Support learners with exam preparation, coursework, and confidence building
*Contribute to curriculum delivery and departmental success
*Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements*QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent teaching qualification
*Experience teaching A Level, GCSE or Functional Skills English
*Strong subject knowledge (Language and/or Literature)
*Excellent classroom management and communication skills
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Desirable*Experience within Further Education or Sixth Form settings
*Strong results with GCSE resit learners
*Ability to teach across multiple levels (FS, GCSE, A Level)
