Contract Duration: Until Summer Holidays, with potential extension from September
Job OverviewWe are working with a friendly and inclusive Primary School in Chester who are seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. The role will run until the Summer holidays, with a strong possibility of continuing into the new academic year from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development within a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities*Support pupils across the classroom, working with individuals and small groups to support learning
*Assist the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
*Provide support for pupils with additional learning needs when required
*Help to create a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment
*Support pupils with behaviour management and emotional wellbeing
*Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and displays
*Supervise pupils during break times, lunchtimes, and school activities where needed
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:*Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
*A genuine interest in supporting children’s education and development
*A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
*Strong communication and teamwork skills
*The ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday
Desirable (but not essential):*A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or childcare qualification
*Experience supporting SEN (Special Educational Needs)
*A current Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
