Job Title: Warehouse Shift Supervisor (Late Shift)
Location: Theale
Salary: £30,000 per annum + 15% shift allowance
Hours: Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 22:00
We are recruiting on behalf of our client based in Theale for a proactive and driven Warehouse Shift Supervisor to lead their late shift operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced distribution environment.
The Role
As Shift Supervisor, you will be accountable for leading the afternoon shift and ensuring operational efficiency across picking, packing, and dispatch activities. You will continually review existing processes to maximise accuracy and productivity, while maintaining high standards of health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the warehouse late shift operation
Manage the processing, picking, and packing of orders in a timely manner, working to agreed targets
Allocate workload effectively to meet daily operational demands
Implement planned operational changes and process improvements
Ensure all products are handled correctly, free from damage, and report discrepancies
Maintain high standards of health and safety, adhering to company warehouse procedures
Assist with loading and unloading vehicles using manual handling techniques and MHE
Use warehouse computer systems to maintain accurate records and reports
Ensure the warehouse and equipment are kept clean and tidy at all times
Drive team engagement through regular 1-2-1s and performance reviews
About You
Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory or team leader role
Strong understanding of picking and packing operations
Experience allocating workloads and managing shift performance
Confident using warehouse management or stock control systems
Good knowledge of health and safety within a warehouse environment
Strong communication and people management skills
Proactive approach to process improvement
