This is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) designed for someone who is committed to fostering an inclusive learning atmosphere where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Role Details*Location: York
*Hours: Monday - Friday (Term Time Only)
*Pay Rate: £98 - £140 per day (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities*Providing 1:1 or small group support to students with a variety of SEND requirements (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or physical disabilities).
*Assisting subject tutors in adapting lesson materials to meet individual learning plans.
*Helping students develop social skills, independence, and confidence within a college setting.
*Monitoring student progress and providing regular feedback to the SEND Coordinator.
*Ensuring a safe and inclusive environment by managing classroom behaviour effectively.
Skills & Experience Required*A genuine desire to support young people facing barriers to learning.
*The ability to pivot your approach based on a student’s immediate needs.
*Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
*Previous experience working with SEND (in an educational or care setting) is highly advantageous.
Essential Requirements*An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
*Confirmed eligibility to work in the UK.
*Two professional references covering the last 24 months.
