Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to use your previous experience and qualifications to lead as the Head of Revenue accounts in this hybrid role working for local government.
Key Responsibilities:
*Responsible for a team of 25 accounts and finance systems staff
*To manage and coordinate the delivery of the annual revenue budget process
*Lead the provision of an effective finance business partnering service to the organisation
*Prepare and monitor reports working to agreed timescales
*Engagement and collaboration with internal stakeholders
*Report to colleagues and members through directorate management teams, oversight boards and overview and scrutiny committees.
Essential Requirements:
*Significant experience in a senior finance role
*A relevant professional accountancy qualification (preferably CIPFA)
*Previous experience of financial management or audit processes within local government or a similar environment
*Experience of leading and managing a team
Person Specification:
*Highly motivated
*Strong communication skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with ease
*Excellent communication and management skills
*To thrive on motivating their team and confidently lead them through change
Working Hours:
Monday to Friday (37 hours per week)
Hybrid work style - working part from home and part in the office at Chatham
Salary: £63,280 per annum plus allowance of £5769 per annum
