Our client, a highly successful organisation based in Plymouth, are currently seeking a Finance Manager, to join their expanding finance function, on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Finance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the performance of the online channel, providing meaningful insight, robust financial control, and commercial challenge across a dynamic and evolving e-commerce function.
This Finance Manager role offers the chance to work at the forefront of digital retail, partnering with key stakeholders across marketing, technology, and trading teams. You’ll be instrumental in driving profitability, improving performance, and supporting strategic initiatives through high-quality financial analysis and insight.
The responsibilities:
*Take ownership of financial reporting and performance across the e-commerce function
*Monitor sales, margins, marketing spend, and associated online trading costs
*Partner with digital and marketing teams to evaluate campaigns and commercial activity
*Deliver insightful analysis on customer trends, conversion, and acquisition costs
*Prepare monthly management accounts with clear variance commentary
*Support ongoing forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning processes
*Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, and processes
*Contribute to wider reporting requirements and finance-led project work
The candidate:
*ACA / ACCA / CIMA part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience
*Strong background in management accounting and commercial analysis
*Advanced Excel skills, with experience handling large data sets
*Ideally exposure to retail, e-commerce, or digital trading environments
*Confident communicator with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
