Job Description:
Equifind are working with a market leading fintech organisation, who are looking to hire a financial controller into the business.
The business is an exciting name in the fintech space and offers an exciting challenge for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic and bustling environment, where no two days are the same.
You will join a great team and become an integral team member from the off, diving right into the thick of things.
Key duties and responsibilities for this financial controller position include:
*Responsible for the consolidated month end close process working closely with CFO and wider teams
*Preparation of the monthly financial reports with additional MI commentary and analysis
*Drive the production of budgets, quarterly forecasts, and detailed cash flow models to monitor capital adequacy and safeguard against breaches
*Lead the preparation and submission of FCA returns
*Partner closely with Operations to ensure accurate client balance and transaction reporting.
*Assist with the preparation of the annual report and accounts, monthly consolidated financial statements and board packs
*Manage overseas audit for multiple branches
*Review and submit the quarterly VAT returns
*Help design, build and implement a robust financial framework to support and automate our reporting and MI, as the organisation continues to grow and evolve
*Assist with managing and mentoring members of the team to actively train and improve the team
*Ad hoc projects as and when needed by senior management
Experience & Qualifications
*Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with 5-8 years PQE
*Experience of reporting under both UK GAAP and US GAAP
*Experience of fintech/payments/crypto is preferable
*Experience of managing teams is a must
*Experience of consolidations
*Strong communication & excel skills

The business is in the payments space and has grown considerably over the past five years. You will be involved in a very dynamic business that will provide you with a varied role.
With offices all over the world you will be joining an international business that is at the forefront of its sector. The finance team is growing so you will be tasked with managing, mentoring and evolving them over time.
For this role, you will work closely with the wider business and be the right hand of the CFO, assisting with the month end reporting, in addition to any commercial and analytical work.
Salary
This exciting opportunity for a financial controller will pay between £85k-£100k depending on your qualifications and industry experience.
This role will be hybrid with 3 days in the London office per week but will offer flexibility as and when needed.
Ideally a notice period of four weeks but we will look at candidates at three months’ notice is they have worked in a similar business.
