Job Description:
Contract Opportunity for a Programme Manager PMO.

PMO Manager
Day rate: £450-£550 dependent on experience
Duration: 6 months with a view to extend to 12 months
Location: Hybrid 3 to 4 days at home with requirements to travel to locations such as London, Manchester, Milton Keynes at an average of once per week minimum.
Base location can be negotiable. Manchester or Milton Keynes.

.Knowledge of the core Project Management disciplines
.Practical experience in developing and managing plans preferably in a programme or public sector environment
.Knowledge of risk management, business impact analysis and contingency arrangements




Essential
*Programme and project management skills - including the ability to prioritise activities and deliver to deadlines whilst maintaining a focus on accuracy and delivery
*Influencing and negotiation skills - including the ability to influence a wide network of senior colleagues without direct line management control to deliver objectives and action plans as a senior individual contributor
*Analysis Skills - including the ability to develop, interpret and analyse inter-related sources and complex information to produce succinct reports and recommendations to inform decision making for senior leaders
*Business Judgement skills - including attention to detail, thoroughness with an ability to make sound judgements and recommendations to peers and leadership team
*Understanding of project and programme management techniques and processes, including tracking performance against KPIs and managing and mitigating delivery risks
*Degree level qualification in programme management, project delivery or the equivalent experience
*Experience in leading large project controls teams on large, complex projects/ programmes within a complex delivery programme including the management of multi-discipline project controls teams
*Experience in the leading and management of the core project controls functions, including baseline maintenance, schedule management, cost performance, change management, risk management and performance reporting
*Experienced in the management and control of key Project Controls practices
*Experience of managing and/or influencing governance forums including Executive boards, partnering boards, collaboration boards, local/regional political stakeholders and Joint Venture partner boards with delegated decision-making powers of multi-millions of pounds
