Purchasing Specialist - MRO, Sheffield

The Job:
Responsible for driving value and aligning procurement activities with the company’s strategic objectives. The role will involve purchasing a variety of indirect MRO-related products and services, as well as some business services including IT contracts.
* Purchasing indirect products and services in line with the company’s requirements and ensuring measurable commercial and operational outcomes within the MRO and business services categories
* Building and developing strong supplier relationships
* Monitoring supplier data to ensure performance levels are within agreed SLAs
* Carrying out supplier visits and audits
* Implementing and embedding procurement improvements
* Engaging with stakeholders, driving budget compliance and develop tender specifications
Required experience:
* At least 6 years’ experience in an Indirect purchasing role, at Senior Buyer level or above
* Evidence of high spend and autonomous category responsibility
* Experience with MRO and business services/other indirect spend category
* Proven solid negotiation skills
* Experience within manufacturing purchasing is an advantage.
* CIPS qualification
