Job Description:
Apprentice IT SpecialistWerfen UK is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice IT Specialist. As an Apprentice IT Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting IT solutions implementations for our UK customers, gaining valuable hands-on experience and knowledge in system troubleshooting and implementation, customer support, and system validations.
Responsibilities:*Participate in routine maintenance tasks such as installing and configuring software updates, patches, and security fixes.
*Assist with monitoring system performance.
*Help with setting up and deploying computer systems, including installing operating systems, software applications, and hardware peripherals.
*Collaborate with the IT team to track and manage inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
*Work closely with team members and other departments to address IT-related issues and requests.
*Accompany IT Specialists on customer site visits, shadowing them to gain practical experience and understanding of implementation and troubleshooting procedures.
*Allocate 2 days per week to attend a college day release course for formal training and education.
Qualifications:*A strong interest in IT solutions and a desire to pursue a career in IT.
*Technical aptitude and the ability to learn and understand complex IT solutions.
*Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills.
*Basic knowledge of IT terminology and networking principles is preferred but not essential.
*Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office Suite.
*A valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one within 6 months.
