Job Description
Hays Education are working with a mainstream school based in Speke who are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join them on a full-time basis in their SEN hub.
The role will involve:
* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a pupil with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND)
* Support the pupil to access the curriculum and participate fully in classroom activities
* Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement targets from the EHCP, IEP, or support plan
* Adapt learning activities, resources, and teaching approaches to meet the pupil’s individual needs
* Support communication, language development, and social interaction
* Promote emotional wellbeing, self-regulation, and positive behaviour
* Encourage independence, confidence, and engagement in learning
Previous Experience Required
* Previous experience working with children with SEN in mainstream or specialist schools
