Warehouse Manager
Location: Wokingham
Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 DOE
Hours: Monday - Friday, 09:00 - 17:30
Overtime: Available


Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their busy rental warehouse. The successful candidate will manage a team responsible for goods-in, order picking, returns processing, and inventory control, ensuring all activities run efficiently and in line with company standards. This role is pivotal in maintaining operational effectiveness, safety, and customer service quality while driving continuous improvement across warehouse processes.


Key Responsibilities:
*Manage and supervise the warehouse team responsible for receiving, storage, picking, and dispatch.
*Schedule and coordinate staff rotas to align with workload demands.
*Coach, train, and develop warehouse team members to meet performance expectations and improve engagement.
*Ensure outbound orders are picked accurately and on time to meet internal processing deadlines.
*Oversee the booking-in and bin-locating of returning equipment and ensure timely return to stock.
*Maintain warehouse cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with health and safety policies.
*Maintain high standards of stock accuracy through perpetual and annual stock takes.
*Ensure stock security and safe handling of equipment and warehouse machinery.
*Conduct daily checks on warehouse equipment (e.g. forklifts, lifting aids).
*Develop and implement process improvements to maximise warehouse efficiency.
*Support compliance with ISO standards, including , and 27001.
*Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of stock and operational audits.
*Work collaboratively with other department leads to align procedures and resolve operational issues.
*Generate and publish warehouse KPIs and operational reports to senior management.


Experience and Skills Required:
*Proven experience managing warehouse operations, ideally within a technical or rental environment.
*Familiarity with IT/AV products and their logistical handling.
*Experience using rental or warehouse management systems (e.g. RMS or similar).
*Strong understanding of ISO standards ().
*Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
*Strong focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
*Confident using Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems
