Sales Administrator
Bournemouth (Office Based)
£26,000 per annum | Permanent | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm
I am recruiting for a technically minded Sales Administrator to join a fast-growing and ambitious business based in Bournemouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in sales administration or a similar role who enjoys working closely with a sales team and playing a key part in the end-to-end sales process. Experience within computer hardware, engineering, aviation, manufacturing, warehousing/distribution or logistics would be beneficial, but is not essential.
The RoleWorking alongside the sales team, you will provide essential administrative and customer service support to ensure the smooth processing of sales orders and an excellent customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
*Preparing and managing customer quotations
*Processing sales orders accurately and efficiently
*Answering and routing inbound telephone calls
*Providing customer service support and handling post-sales enquiries
*Communicating daily shipping updates and back-order statuses
*Assisting with customer returns
*Tracking inbound and outbound shipments
*Escalating courier issues where required
*Maintaining accurate customer records on internal systems
*Producing reports upon request
*Liaising with other departments as needed
*Supporting warehouse operations during periods of high order volume
About YouYou will be a proactive team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll be comfortable using your initiative and working to deadlines, while maintaining a customer-focused approach aligned with the company’s mission to deliver flexibility, efficiency and exemplary service.
You will ideally have:
*Proven experience in sales administration or a similar administrative role
*Strong organisational and time management skills
*Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
*Familiarity with CRM systems and Sage (desirable)
*Good overall IT literacy and confidence learning new systems
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
*Previous customer service experience (advantageous, but not essential)
*The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
