Qualified Social Worker - Assessment / CIN / CP / PLOAre you a committed Qualified Social Worker with a passion for seeing a child’s journey through to the end?

We have a fantastic Locum Social Work opportunity based within a Permanence team in the Wirral area. This is a unique role for a practitioner who thrives on continuity, managing cases from the initial assessment through to CP, PLO, and Court proceedings. You will be part of a supportive environment dedicated to delivering the best possible service to families.

Responsibilities:*Undertaking Section 17 assessments and high-level Section 47 child protection enquiries.
*Managing a complex caseload including Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) plans.
*Leading on the Public Law Outline (PLO) process, including drafting legal gatekeeping papers and attending meetings.
*Managing Care Proceedings, writing witness statements, and providing evidence in court.
*Driving cases toward permanence, ensuring timely outcomes for children via reunification, SGO, or long-term care.
*Maintaining strong, multi-agency relationships with partner agencies to ensure holistic support.
To be considered for this Social Worker role you ideally will have:*3+ years’ experience working within a frontline CIN/CP or Court team.
*Strong knowledge of the Public Law Outline and court processes.
*Social Work England registered.
*BSc Social Work or equivalent.
*The ability to work well individually and within a high-paced team.
