The OpportunityWe’re partnering with a well-established, Nantwich-based business to recruit a Management Accountant for a key, high-visibility role within the finance function.
This position offers broad financial ownership, close collaboration with an overseas Head Office, and genuine influence across business performance and decision-making. It’s an excellent opportunity for an experienced industry accountant who enjoys being hands-on while also providing clear, meaningful insight to stakeholders.
The RoleReporting into senior finance stakeholders, you’ll take responsibility for the full management accounting cycle, ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial control, and timely information for both UK and international teams.
Key responsibilities include:
*Leading the month-end close process
*Producing monthly P&L reports with detailed variance analysis and commentary
*Balance sheet control, including reconciliations, prepayments, and accruals
*Fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and disposals
*Sales analysis, reconciliations, and backlog reporting
*Intercompany reconciliations and issue resolution
*Inventory monitoring, reconciliation, and control
*VAT return preparation and submission
*Bank and petty cash reconciliations
*Coordinating payroll with an external provider
*Liaising with pension providers and external auditors
*Supporting ad-hoc finance projects and reporting requirements
About You*Proven experience in a management accounting role within industry
*Confident taking ownership of end-to-end reporting and financial controls
*Essential: SAP experience
*Strong technical knowledge of VAT and management accounting
*Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
