Job Description:
School Caretaker - Bexleyheath
Hours: Monday to Friday
Pay: £15+ per hour
Employer: Working on behalf of Academics for a local school
Academics are currently recruiting a full-time School Caretaker to support a friendly local school in Bexleyheath. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with previous caretaking, facilities, or site support experience.
Key Responsibilities:
*Opening and securing the school site
*General site maintenance and basic repairs
*Carrying out health & safety checks
*Setting up rooms for school activities and events
*Ensuring the school grounds are clean, safe, and well maintained
*Supporting staff with ad-hoc site-related tasks
*Liaising with contractors where required
The Ideal Candidate:
*Previous experience as a caretaker, site assistant, or facilities operative (preferred)
*Reliable, practical, and hands-on approach
*Good understanding of health & safety
*Able to work independently and take initiative
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
