We are looking for a compassionate and organised Welfare Administrator to play a key role in managing and supporting vulnerable customer cases. You will be a trusted point of contact for welfare-related matters, working closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure that appropriate support is identified, implemented and clearly documented.

This role combines meaningful customer interaction with structured administrative work, making it ideal for someone who thrives in a people-centred environment and takes pride in accuracy, compliance and positive outcomes.


The Role
As a Welfare Administrator, you’ll

*Identify and assess vulnerability in line with internal policies, regulatory guidance and best practice, ensuring cases are escalated appropriately where needed
*Acti as the main point of contact for welfare-related cases, delivering consistent, empathetic and professional communication
*Apply appropriate safeguarding and support measures, ensuring all actions are compliant and well documented
*Handling inbound phone calls from customers, clients and operational colleagues, providing reassurance, clarity and solution-focused guidance
*Producing regular reports to support performance monitoring and continuous improvement
*Maintaining and improving pre-approved communication templates to ensure accessibility, consistency and clarity
*Providing flexible administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the wider team

The Person
To be successful as a Welfare Administrator, you’ll need

*Previous administrative experience with confidence using Microsoft Office and case management or bespoke systems
*Experience in a customer-facing role, handling both written correspondence and telephone enquiries
*At least two years’ experience supporting vulnerable customers, with the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally
*Experience working in a regulated or compliance-focused environment would be desirable but is not essential

*Strong organisation and time-management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
*Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accurate record-keeping
*Resilience and good judgement when assessing situations and applying appropriate support measures
*A collaborative mindset, able to work effectively with internal teams and external organisations
