Capital Accountant
Contract: 3 - 6 months
Location: London, hybrid working (2 days on-site per week)
Day Rate: £400 - £500 per day, Inside IR35

A leading charity is looking for an interim Capital Accountant to support a significant piece of work focused on fixed assets and data accuracy. The role requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership, working at pace, and navigating substantial volumes of financial information.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will play a key part in preparing the organisation for a new Fixed Asset system. You will be responsible for reviewing, cleansing, and migrating a large Fixed Asset Register, ensuring that all data is complete, accurate and fully reconciled.
Key responsibilities:
*Assisting with the rollout of a new Fixed Asset module
*Reviewing, migrating and validating an extensive Fixed Asset Register
*Conducting detailed line-by-line checks to identify gaps or errors
*Reconciling asset data across historic financial periods
*Investigating anomalies and resolving discrepancies
*Collaborating with finance colleagues to support a smooth systems transition
Essential experience:
*Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA) preferred
*Strong background in fixed assets and large Fixed Asset Registers
*Skilled in Excel with experience handling complex data sets
*Meticulous, organised and methodical in approach
*Able to work independently and deliver to tight timelines
